Senior Kerry Hu will attend Otis College of Art and Design in the Fall.
“I decided to do art because I’m interested in fashion,” Hu said. “My mom does architecture-related work, so I decided to choose interior design, which is kind of related to fashion also.”
Hu, who was born in Shanghai and moved to the United States in middle school, began creating art in a school program at a young age. The students would walk around the city and draw buildings using crayons. This experience in a metropolitan setting fostered Hu’s admiration of life in the big city. Therefore, after two years, Hu would like to transfer from Otis College in Los Angeles to an institution in New York.
“Big cities always remind me of my hometown,” Hu said, “so that’s why I want to go to New York.”
