Wesley Chen is a senior in his first year of Journalism. He enjoys programming and working with computers in general. He hopes to go to university majoring in computer science, and pursue a career in that field in the future. He believes that AI are the future, and eventually all humanity will bend the knee to our robotic overlords.
Aidan O'Sullivan is a junior at Burlingame High School and a first year Journalism student. He enjoys to read, and write and running for the Burlingame High School Cross Country team. In his free time he enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. This year he is hoping to advancing his writing abilities and learn more about journalism.
Caroline Yeow is a sophomore at Burlingame High School and is a first-year journalism student. Outside of school, she plays badminton, and also joins the team in the spring. She also enjoys traveling with her family, rereading The Glass Castle, and playing with her three dogs. This year she is excited to expand her writing skills, and become more knowledgeable about current events in the community and the world.
Rachel Yap is junior at Burlingame High School and a first-year Journalism student. She is involved in multiple organizations on campus such as Key Club and UNICEF. She enjoys drawing and eating in her free time. She also enjoys teaching children how to draw and paint at her job at YoungArt.
Allison Szetu is a sophomore at BHS and it is her first year in Journalism. She is the co-president of the American Heart Association Club and the Kids In Need Foundation Club. She is also the sophomore class coordinator. On her free time, she likes listening to music, painting, and watching Friends on Netflix. She plays badminton, basketball, and participates in cross country.
Ethan is a junior at Burlingame High School, and is a first year staff writer for the Burlingame B. He enjoys writing and reading, and plays lacrosse for Burlingame. In his free time, Ethan likes to play video games and hang out with his friends. He is also on a club ultimate frisbee team, and works at Safari Run. This year, he is looking forward to improving his writing skills and discovering his passion for journalism.
David is in his junior year, and is highly anticipating his first year of journalism. He enjoys learning about writing, history, and political science. David hopes to pursue a career in foreign relations, based out of the Washington DC area. Outside of school David swims competitively and plays water polo. He is looking forward to bringing a politically analytical edge to the Burlingame B this year.
Jacob Lubarsky is a sophmore and a first year Journalism student. He has a great joy for writing and editing. In his free time, he enjoys being with friends, listening to music, and playing videogames.
Amelia Harris is a sophomore at Burlingame High School and this is her first year in Journalism. She runs cross country and track through school and love to run. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends, family and her dog.
Mark Habelt is a junior and first year journalism student. He enjoys playing BHS basketball and participates in the BHS environmental club. In his free time, he enjoys seeing friends, listening to music, and following American sports.
Alec Abramson is a junior at Burlingame High School, and a first-year Journalism student. Utilizing the vast resources and broad subscriber base of the Burlingame B, Alec intends to expose corruption on a global scale. In his free time, Alec thoroughly enjoys watching planes, documenting how many planes there are, and predicting how many planes there will be in the future.
Hubert Chen is a sophomore at Burlingame High School and a first year student of Journalism. Outside of school, he enjoys participating in the BHS robotics team, playing video games, and camping. Hubert enjoys lots of music from the 20th century, ranging from bands such as Chicago all the way to Metallica. Since he is still a small and undeveloped human, Hubert is not sure of exactly what he wants to do with his life but has shown lots of interest in the topics of engineering and robotics.
Hanna Sato is a junior and a second year Journalism student. On campus, she is a part of the Burlingame Tennis Team and co-president of Bakeology, a club raising funds for food banks. Outside of school she participates in the Northstar ski team as well.
Claire Hunt is a sophomore at Burlingame High School and new to journalism. She runs cross country and track during the school year, loves tacos, and has been a vegetarian for 2 years. She also has two dogs, likes to travel, and is excited to write for the Burlingame B this year.
Allie Kennedy is a senior and the Design Editor for The Burlingame B. Allie is also the Co-President of the BHS Mock Trial team and the secretary of the Senior Class Cabinet. Outside of school, she enjoys competing with the West Coast Dance Conservatory Senior Company and reading.
Moya Liu is a junior and a second year journalism student. This year she will be managing the finances of the newspaper as the business manager. Moya enjoys being on the light crew for BHS musicals and she is part of multiple clubs on campus such as Unicef and the school robotics team. Outside of school, she loves to watch movies and travel with her family.
Ben Neuman is a junior at Burlingame High School who has a passion for reading and playing sports. Ben was born and raised in Philadelphia, and he ended up moving out to Burlingame when he was twelve. Ben enjoys writing and looks forward to adding a new perspective to the school paper. He is also the Webmaster for the Burlingame B.
Annie Sun is a junior at Burlingame High School and a second-year journalism student. On campus, she is a varsity badminton player and is involved with many clubs such as Save the Children and the Burlingame Environmental club. In her free time, she plays 3 instruments: piano, clarinet, and violin. She also enjoys being involved in the community and spending time with friends and family.
Tyler Idema is currently a junior at Burlingame High school, and he is in his second year of journalism. He has earned the position Sports Editor, and hopes to have a bigger presence in the Burlingame B. Tyler wants to work as a reporter/writer for ESPN in the future because he loves to write. Outside the classroom, he enjoys playing soccer, hanging with friends, and watching Michigan football on Saturdays.
Tekla Carlen is a sophomore at Burlingame High School. Other than working on the Burlingame B, she is part of multiple organizations on campus, including the book club and Model UN. Her favorite classes are history and English. In her spare time, she acts with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and likes to read and write.
