On April 28th, Advanced Leadership threw the annual Buddies’ Carnival. The event as a way for freshmen to de-stress by playing carnival games, eating good food and socializing with upperclassmen. This year, leadership provided hamster balls, water slides, snow cone machines, and live music courtesy of Agustin Ortiz and Ronan McCaa.
Junior Grayson Perry has been a buddy for the past year and believes that Buddies’ events are an extremely vital way to help freshman feel more welcome during the transition from middle school to high school.
“Buddies events in general are a fun way for freshmen to meet one another and get advice from their upperclassmen,” Perry said. “The Buddies’ Carnival specifically is just a fun way for freshman to take some time during lunch to eat good food and play super fun games.”
