The Burlingame High School cheer squad is currently preparing for the Little Big Game on Saturday November 5th. Both Varsity and Junior Varsity will be cheering and performing together during the game.
“Our biggest strength is that we all work well together and we always stay positive” senior and Varsity Cheer captain Ashley Kall said.
The team is currently working with choreographer Morgan Craig, who also choreographs performances for the Notre Dame High School cheer team.
“It will be interesting to view the game from a Varsity perspective because the past two years have been through the JV lens” junior cheerleader Madeline Hawley said.
A typical practice starts with warming up then the team works on routines and stunts. The team is also preparing a routine for the homecoming rally on Friday November 4th.
“It’s really bittersweet because It’s our last little big game. I have so many memories from the last four years which I’m sad to leave behind but I’m really excited for the future and life after high school,” Kall said.
The cheer team is also hosting their annual Homecoming Dance after the Little Big Game. The theme for the dance is “Panthers on the Red Carpet” and will be in the gym at Burlingame High School from 7pm to 10pm. The homecoming dance tickets are on sale this week during lunch.
