Girls’ golf sends players to PAL and CCS

The Panther girls’ golf team completes a strong season by winning eight out of ten matches. As the season comes to a close, the team plans to send eight players to compete in the Peninsula Athletic League championship and six in the Central Coast Section playoffs. Despite losing many seniors last year, the team maintained a solid performance throughout the season.

Sophomore Jody Chui, who is the captain of the girls’ golf team, will be playing in both CCS and PAL. She attributes the success of the season to the supportiveness of her teammates. Chui considers “advancing to CCS as a team” to be the greatest accomplishment of this season.

“It's an honor and privilege to be the girls golf coach,” Coach Dito said. “We spent a lot of time going over the fundamentals of the golf swing as well as course management with the varsity golfers to help them improve.”

Dito is excited for the future of the girls’ golf program and look forward to next season.
