Boys’ Lacrosse entering PAL finals strong

As the end of the season nears, the boys varsity lacrosse team is gearing up to perform well at the Peninsula Athletic League Championships by working on their team chemistry.

Senior captain Brennan Cosenza highlighted the team’s potential and motivation.

“We’ve been having a successful season with our all senior-attack and promising young defensive line,” he said. “We have a new coach this year, Neal Kaufman, and we’re still developing as a team with our younger players.”

Although the team shows much promise to be successful in the P.A.L. tournament, Cosenza acknowledged the work that the team needs to achieve their goals.

“Our biggest challenge as a team is working as a unit and learning how to communicate properly,” he said. “These things take time and will get easier as we gain experience.”

The team has had a strong season so far. They hope to carry this momentum into the P.A.L. finals and perform well.

“We focus a lot on cardio and speed,” senior Gabe Hyman said. “Most of our practice is based on running so that we can focus on our skills during games when we need them most.”

The team’s next game is tonight 7 p.m. at the El Camino Field in their game against Palo Alto.
