Traditional Thanksgiving feasts may be abandoned by many as COVID-19 has put a stop to large gatherings.

Thanksgiving is when most people head home to their families; by way of  planes, trains and automobiles. But a pandemic Thanksgiving has limited travel, and as a result, most are celebrating with only the people in their households. The large, traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing may be forgone by many as the lengthy preparation just doesn’t seem worth it. The typical holiday spirit may be harder to find this year, but luckily some of the restaurants that have closed on Thanksgiving in years prior will remain open this year to welcome diners and takeout. While the mass majority of Burlingame’s restaurants are remaining closed, there are still plenty of options available if you are searching for a cooked meal on Thanksgiving, typical or atypical.
