Vishu Prathikanti is currently a senior, an Advanced Journalism student, and the current Editor-In-Chief. His favorite subject is AP Literature, and he funnels his passion for writing into journalism. He also enjoys AP Physics, and although he find it challenging, he also finds it extremely interesting. When he isn’t writing columns for the San Mateo Daily Journal, he enjoys watching TV and playing videogames.

Security cameras face issues

After the attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas and two unexpected fire alarms on our own campus, BHS staff and students have been discussing safety on our campus. There are cameras on campus, a campus security guard, and a school safety officer; but compared to Aragon high school, which has a total of 60 cameras on campus, the BHS campus is lacking in terms of an up-to-date security system.

Linda Stephenson, the face of the Royal Donut, is familiar to many BHS students when they walk in to buy donuts after school.“I’ve been working here for about 14 and a half years now,” Stephenson said. “I love it here. My employers are wonderful, and most of the high schoolers are good. I just have so many wonderful friendships here.”

Club Week achieves another year of success

On October 19, the annual BHS Club Fair took place. On Tuesday, The clubs partook in tabling where the clubs introduced themselves to students at lunch and tried to encourage students to become members of their clubs. On Wednesday, clubs competed against each other in a scavenger hunt, in which each club had to hunt down certain items around the school. The winners received prize money for funding their club endeavors.
